Crocheted Acorn for Natural Acorn Cap
This is a pattern to crochet an acorn nut, using fiber or wire, to fit inside a natural acorn cap. I used 30 gauge wire, or a combination of very thin nylon cord and metallic thread to make them, but other types of thread or perhaps 28 gauge wire could be used.
The pattern is for the basic nut. In working it you need to be flexible as you may need to vary the number of stitches per round depending on material chosen and the circumference of your acorn caps.
I attached a small bead cap with a loop to the acorn caps. This allows you to attach them to necklaces, earrings … or whatever you wish. You can see photos of finished jewelry using the acorns on the blog where the pattern is located.
