Crocheted Angel with Butterfly Wings
Tired of spending hours to crochet an angel head, only to realize you’ve made a giant Q-Tip (tm) brand swab?
Here’s a butterfly-winged beauty that takes advantage of a porcelain doll’s head and mohair locks; or a wooden bead head and acrylic curls, if your doll-making friends will not oblige.
Crochet skills include chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet.
Other skills include drawing a face on a bead or ball of clay; using white glue and hot glue.
Additional materials include locks of mohair or synthetic hair, hair spray, and a musical instrument ornament, plus your favorite fabric stiffener and a dome-shaped blocking base such as a citrus juicer or a snow globe wrapped in plastic wrap.
