This pattern can be used with any size hook or yarn (crochet thread included) using one or 2 colors. Therefore no gauge will be specified. However, fuzzy or fur type of yarn is not recommended.

Choose your hook size according to the yarn you are using.

I have used this appliqué pattern as a pretty patch for my daughter’s jeans, hair accessories, pretty accents on doll clothing etc. There are endless possibilities.

Also included is a bonus easy scrunchie pattern that you can make using your completed butterfly appliqué. Once your butterfly is completed the scrunchie works up in a matter of minutes.

Many pictures are included to help make this pattern. (The headband in pictures is not included with this pattern. Headband pattern is sold separately.)
