Crocheted Christmas Tree...Fridgie
Gauge doesn’t really matter with this project.
Pattern, including written directions and photo tutorial, are for a small and large tree.
To make a different size tree: Continue pattern until desired size, ending on row with Odd number of Cluster stitches.
This project doesn’t take much yarn. I usually buy 1 green and 1 red, Redheart Supersaver, and can make quite a few trees. These make great last minute gifts for neighbors, co-workers or anyone else that you may have forgotten to put on your list. Make a pile and be prepared.
We add magnets to the back for displaying on a fridge.
Decorating…The fun part
- Get creative and personalize tree for a special person who will be receiving a one of a kind gift.
- Use little balls (bought in most hobby stores) and bows made from contrasting yarn…(Pictured)
- Smaller trees are really cute using strings of beads as garland and little sequins placed around.
*** This pattern is not my own, it was given to my Mom, about 35 years ago, from a friend in Central Pennsylvania. To this day,,, When the Holidays come around,,,They are still proudly displayed on many fridges in our small hometown… Hope making these bring as much joy to your family and friends as it does ours.
