Crocheted Easter Eggs (ombre)
This crocheted Easter egg covers a regular/small size plastic egg. The plastic egg size is approximately 5.75 inches (14.5 cm) around the middle by 3.5 (9 cm) from top to bottom.
This is a very fast and easy project that takes only minutes to create and with very satisfying results. It is a continuous spiral of sc’s with increases and decreases to perfectly fit your plastic egg from bottom to top.
By using ombre yarns, you won’t need to change yarns to produce a decorated effect—you just let the yarn do the work of color changes. Simple!
Yardage required: about 16 yards/meters of yarn. This is less than one ounce and about the size of a ball of yarn equal to golf ball.
