I have very fond memories of the holiday season, especially after Thanksgiving when my brother and sister and I would start cutting construction-paper strips and turn them into garland. We always had one chain of rings that was our advent calendar. Each night, one of us – usually the youngest - would get the honor of cutting off one of the rings. As the chain got smaller, we knew Christmas was closer.

This is my version of that well-loved tradition, except in fiber form. It can be made in a single color, or a rainbow of them .. whatever suits your taste.
