This little guy is inspired by Graeme Base’s dragon book. However I created my own variation and painted it on a guitar case for a freind. From there he came to life with yarn and hooks.
Finished he’s over a foot long and almost a foot tall.
This is an intermediate/advanced pattern.

Technique’s Used:
Single Crochet in the round
Popcorn Stitch
Single Crochet Increase
Single Crochet Decrease
Magic Ring Method
Regular Method for starting in the round
Slip Stitch
Double Crochet
Half Double Crochet

Tools needed to complete pattern are:
Size F and H hook,
Size 2.75mm Steel hook
Stitch markers
Worsted Weight Yarn At least 12 oz
Stuffing
Safety Eyes size 15 mm (or buttons, felt or whatever you want to use for eyes)
Crochet thread (ounce or two)
Embroidery floss
or a sport weight yarn can be subbed for the above two items.
5 12 inch Pipe cleaners
(if using 6inch pipe cleaners double the amount needed)
Small amount of Pink Worsted Weight yarn (for tongue)
White Worsted Weight for Wings (at least 3 ounces maybe 4.)
And any desired embellishments for wings such as: sequins, buttons, Glitter, embroidery floss, etc
Plastic Pellets, Buttons etc for weight.
