This crocheted hat begins at the top and finishes at the brim. It has a Spike Stitch pattern at the brim edge of the hat using two different color yarns than that of the body of the hat.

This is a very quick and easy pattern allowing for stash yarn to be used nicely.

The hat fits children and teens and adults, starting at 3 years old.

The yarn used is a # 4 weight Aran requiring about 485 yards total, but less is really required of each skein for the actual pattern. The two colors for the Spike Stitch portion of the hat only require enough yarn for one rounds each, thus scrap/stash yarn works well here. The body of the hat only required one skein.
