If you’ve ever wanted to crochet a Christmas stocking without sewing together a million different pieces, this is the pattern for you. It was designed to look like the felt stockings my mother used to make.

As written, the stocking will be candy-striped in red and white. However, you can use a more traditional solid color scheme or different striping easily. You will need close to a full skein of the main yarn and closer to 1/2 or 3/4 of a skein of the secondary color, depending on the yarn. If you wish to personalize the stocking with a name, scrap yarn works quite well as only a little is required.

Finally, this stocking is largely decorative but the standard pattern is big enough for smaller presents as well.
