Crocodile Jungle Plant Hanger
by Tammy Deitz
This plant hanger is worked in 4 separate sections. The first section is a crocodile stitch bottom frill worked in the round. The second section is the single crochet bottom and lace sides. They are worked in a continuous even circle, with the bottom circle breaking repeats into halves at the beginning and ending of the rounds to avoid the octagon shape some flat crochet circles develop. The third section is the hangers and the fourth section is the bell.
This pattern uses a variety of stitches and is somewhat intermediate to advanced because of the sections. Knowledge of how to make a crocodile stitch is essential to working the bottom skirt.
