Crocus Sweater
Crocuses are the first flowers that come to my mind, when I think of Spring. They are one of my favorite flowers ever, and tender color combinations never stop impressing me with how simple yet complex they are.
Crocus Sweater is a perfect Spring/Summer garment for those cooler Spring days and Summer Nights.
I wear mine with jeans all the time these days.
I knit my sample with yarn that has no wool content, which allowed for the fabric to be light and drape beautifully.
Colorwork using Berroco Remix Light turned out so unusual looking, in the best of ways. This is what you need, when you crave something unique to knit.
Crocus Sweater is a part of little Crocus Pattern Series of mine.
Two other patterns are already out:
Crocus Headband
Crocus Cowl
Construction
Crocus Sweater is a seamless top-down round yoke garment. It features elements of stranded colorwork knitting on the yoke and contrasting color ribbing for cuffs, body hem and neckline.
The body and sleeves are knit straight without any shaping, making this garment more beginner friendly.
The sleeves are designed to be ¾ length.
The garment is intended to be worn snugly with little to no ease at the bust and top portion of the sweater.
Materials
Yarn
For the sample I used Berroco Remix Light (30% Nylon, 27% Cotton, 24% Acrylic, 10% Silk, 9% Linen; 432 yds / 400 m per 100g), light DK weight.
This is a light DK weight yarn.
This yarn has a light, tweedy texture and is wool-free.
It is made of recycled fibers.

MC: 6903 Almond
CC: 6971 Cameo Pink
