Crofter Afghan
This is an easy to make crocheted blanket made up of standard granny squares, using Sirdar Crofter DK Fair Isle Effect, and Berroco Vintage DK. The Crofter DK makes each square slightly different, and uniquely beautiful. I used several colours of Crofter, and I’ve listed the colours I used in the pattern, but it could be done in a single colourway, or 3 or 4 of your favourites, as long as you have a total of 12 balls to work with. You also need 7 skeins of Berroco Vintage DK for the edges of each square, the joining of the squares, and the border. This pattern results in a blanket that is 60” X 72” in size, but this can be made larger or smaller by simply adjusting how many squares you make. It would make a really lovely baby blanket as well. Each square is 6” sq., so with a little math you can make a blanket exactly the size you want!
