A crofter will need warm and practical mittens to carry firewood and shovel the snow from the stairs. Crofter´s Mittens are worked in a simple colourwork pattern which makes the mittens warm and quick to make. To achieve a perfect fit, the thumb is worked with a gusset. Gauge
24 sts x 24 rounds = 10 cm / 4 inches in colourwork in the round on needle 3.5 mm / US 4.
Always use a needle size that gives you the recommended gauge.
