My Cross and Dove C2C crochet pattern is worked like you would a regular C2C blanket. This design is an original by me, so if you would like to share your work when completed, please give a link back to this pattern. I personally work from the bottom left corner on all of my C2C projects. This pattern will give instructions based on this. I use abbreviations for the colors in the row, followed by an “x” with a number beside it to indicate how many times that particular color will be repeated before changing to another color. I use colors by Red Heart:

Light Blue (lb), Bright Yellow (y), Grey (g), White (w)

I also will place an “R” in the row when you are working on the “wrong side”. Helps me keep my bearings while I work.

Abbreviatons:

ch-chain
st-stitch
dc-double crochet
sl-slip stitch

To begin, as with all C2C I do, I chain 6.
In the third st from your hook, dc, then dc in each st (2 more).
Turn your work and ch 6 more.
In the third st from your hook, dc, then dc in each st. (2 more).
Insert your hook into the open area of your previous group and sl st.
ch 2, then do 3 dc.

Your whole wall hanging will continue this pattern adding “squares” as you go. I will number each row so you can keep track of where you are in your project as you’re working it.
