I wanted to design a series of traditional Christmas stockings using various different motifs and certain repeating themes. The Cross and Leaf stocking is one of four different stockings in the series.

It’s always about the details for me when creating a knitted piece, and this stocking has some lovely ones. It begins with a two-color cast-on and knitted braid and progresses through several different motifs and color changes. Use duplicate stitch after the stocking is finished to personalize for someone special.

The pattern includes color charts and all instructions needed to work all the techniques as well as links to video tutorials.

This stocking is available either individually, or purchased together with the Holly & Snowflake stocking as a set of two under the name Fair-Isle Stockings II.
