I like the ease of wearing a cross body bag with no straps slipping off the shoulder. This bag is constructed of Left and Right leaning mesh stitches. 2 versions are given, one with a flap and one without. Because knitting can sag, additional support is given in the form of I cord knit onto the bag body.

As written, it is the right size to hold a Kindle e-reader or a small knitting project or whatever you please. Knit flat, the bag is assembled by use of slip stitch crochet and I cord. The bag sides are reinforced by knit on I cord to prevent the bag from stretching out of shape. You can make any size you desire by changing the number of cast on stitches and the number of row repeats. Models are made with Peaches & Creme “Double” worsted, a yarn that is sadly discontinued, but any worsted weight cotton yarn will
work as a substitute.
