Cross Over Chapeau
This hat was inspired by turban-style hats common in 1920’s fashion. The “cross over” feature on the band naturally led to an entrelac design in the body of the hat. Mixing a multicolored yarn and a solid yarn is entirely optional but provides a subtle depth to the finished piece. Instructions provided are for knitting on right side and purling on wrong side.
Purchase of the pattern includes two versions - a knitting backwards version to eliminate turning the work every row & a knitting on right side and purling on wrong side version.
Note: The Kodiak was knit at a smaller gauge than the yarn suggests. If substituting, chose a worsted/aran weight yarn.
