This pattern is a simple cowl crocheted from the bottom up. It uses post stitches to create lots of texture. The decreases are incorporated into the pattern adding to the design. It uses 4 oz of worsted weight yarn.

Preparing for a spring visit to my daughter near London, I decided a cowl would be just the ticket. Small enough to tuck into a purse, it’s adds a touch of warmth on blustery days.

I was happy to find some lovely, locally-dyed yarn from a friend of mine in a beautiful purple. The 100% USA Targhee wool adds great stitch definition to this design.
