Two skeins of Morehouse Merino Gator yarn result in a nice long (80”) scarf. You can easily add length with another skein, just keep following the pattern.

The tight twist of the Gator Yarn is an important element in this scarf’s design - the yarn has a lot of body and retains its shape after much handling or washing. Softer sport weight yarn will work up to the right gauge but the scarf itself will be flat and the stitches won’t retain their shape nearly as well.
