Crosshatch Lace Socks
by Eva McDonald
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
January 2020: I just realized now - very late! - that this pattern is no longer available. Here it is in my project notes.
This cuff-down sock uses a crosshatch lace pattern I picked up somewhere, probably from a Barbara Walker book, and the Strong heel. The Strong heel (named after its creator, Gerdine Crawford-Strong) allows the lace pattern to continue along the heel flap uninterrupted, and eliminates the need to pick up stitches for the gusset.
The lace pattern, though highly textured, has no purls.
