Crosstie
I am now retired from knit design due to progressive arthritis and I am offering my designs to Ravelry users for free. I will not be providing designer support any longer but my patterns are tech edited and almost all have been tested
My texture and cable cashmere blend capelet starts with a sideways body in an easy-to-memorize cable pattern with intermittent welting. It is next joined into a cylinder by grafting (supported by a written instructions and videotutorial with technique by TKGA Master Knitter and technical editor Sharon Levering). Picked up stitches at either cylinder edge become the top and bottom welted trim. The bottom edge is stretchy, accomplished by Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy BO (written instructions and tutorial link). The top trim sports decreases to allow the capelet to comfortably sit on the shoulders.
To measure for size, wrap a tape around body and arms with arms at sides at the level of the bust.
Don’t need a capelet? Crosstie in the smallest size doubles as a cowl, lovely with a pin, don’t you agree? Thanks Sue for styling!
