Little cables ripple across the cowl to evoke the winds rippling across the fields of the Crosswinds Equestrian Center - where my daughter spent many happy hours riding horses, training, and competing in shows.

The cowl is worked in the round on circular needles, bottom up. The bottom edge is wider than the top edge. Snuggly soft in springy Tosh Vintage, the cowl is a pleasure to knit as well as to wear.
