These scrumptious handwarmers are super quick to make up and use simple stitches:

Double crochet in front and back loops and single crochet with a few simple increases/decreases.

Ones pictured are made in Wendy Norse Chunky but also work especially well in aran weight yarns. (Depending on the effect I want I use a 3.5/4 hook)
