I made my crown for a toy to wear, but you could also knit it as a fascinator or small party hat. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the crown is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; less than a100g/280m skein in each colour.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle and sparkly beads to decorate the crown

One size only - 7cm tall x 7cm wide.

TECHNIQUES
For intermediate knitters and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
