This pattern involves knitting a hung hem brim instead of ribbing. This band is created by knitting about 3” and folding it inward, picking up the first cast-on row and knitting together with the live stitches. The second part of the hat involves a stitch commonly known as the ‘pistachio stitch’. The third part is neat crown decreases in pattern. This hat is meant to fit close to the head, however adding 2 extra pattern repeats will give a more slouchy hat.
