Description
Inspired by the Deja earrings from Hello Charlie Blu, the Crowning Glory Hat is a celebration of Black girls and their hair. The hat is a simple knitted tube construction with a duplicate stitching chart to create a facial design.

And my FAVORITE part is the Curly-Haired Pom that puts a fun twist on an interesting crochet stitch. Make a hat that flaunts the beauty that is Blackness!

Feel free to dress up with hair jewels of your choice!

Sizing
This hat fits an average adult head. Finished hat measures ~20” in circumference and 10” in height (not including any added poms).

T Curly-haired Pom measures 16” in circumference (around widest part) and ~5” in height

Yarn
Any 2 colors of bulky weight yarn works for this hat. I have found that the chart looks best if the color for the “hair” is at least slightly darker than the color for the “face.”

You’ll need about ~225 yards for the hat body ~115 yards for the Curly-haired Pom, and ~35-40 for the duplicate stitching.
