Crozon (Adult)
A baby/child/teen version of this pattern, Crozon, is available here.
~~
Here is a wardrobe essential that anyone will love to wear: a simple, clean, well-fitting sweater, with crisp jogless stripes.
This pattern is full of tips, crystal-clear techniques and links to helpful video tutorials to achieve a truly well-finished project.
My inspiration for this design was the “marinière”, or Breton shirt, and being French with family ties to Brittany, I wanted to present you with my version of this unisex wardrobe staple.
“Crozon” refers to the Presqu’île de Crozon, an enchanting peninsula on France’s Atlantic coast, in beautiful and wild Brittany. I spent many summers in this incredible place growing up and wanted to pay hommage to it.

PATTERN NOTES:
This sweater is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down, with some short row shaping below the neck band. At underarm level, the sleeves are separated from the body, and worked in the round, as is the body. Stripes are worked throughout the lower yoke, body and sleeves.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Casting on, knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, knitting in the round, working with 2 colors, picking up stitches, short rows (detailed instructions and links to tutorials provided), binding off.
SIZES:
XS (S, M, L // XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)
Please note that this pattern is based on women’s standard measurements.
To fit chest: 30 (34, 38, 42 // 46, 50, 54, 58, 62) inches or 76 (86.5, 96.5, 106.5 // 117, 127, 137, 147.5, 157.5) cm
Garment chest at underarms: 33.75 (38, 42, 45.5 // 49.75, 54, 58, 61.5, 65.75) inches or 84.5 (95, 105, 114 // 124.5, 135, 145, 154, 164.5) cm
In general it’s best to go by the recipient’s actual chest measurement instead of the size label. You can also choose a size according to how much ease you’d like the garment to have. The garment is designed to be worn with 3 to 4 inches or 7.5 to 10 cm.
Tip: Compare the complete garment measurements to a favorite sweater’s measurements and choose a size accordingly.
