This shawl combines carreaux crochet with filet crochet.

The basic pattern is a triangular shawl with on one side a filet in color A and dots in color B. When you turn the shawl the filet is color B and the dots are in color A. You can use a third color for some of the dots.

The pattern could also be used for a scarf or even a blanket.

You can use any yarn and make it the size you would like. The amount of yardage that is mentioned here is for a shawl of 1.6 / 1.8 m large and 75 to 85 cm heigh, with the yarn I have used for the examples = Azurite Distrifil, 8 to 9 balls (50 gr/140 m) for a shawl.
