Crystal Mittens
The Crystal mittens have attractive geometric motifs resembling crystals. They have a rhythm that will make you want to knit one more round again and again. The color work creates a double layer of yarn that helps to increase the mittens density.
These mittens allow for amazing color combinations. If you are looking for a modern and provocative look, the high contrast of colors will contribute to this. If you prefer a classic look, you can choose more neutral shades.
With a traditional construction and dense fabric, they will certainly keep your hands warm in winter. In addition to its functionality, this beautiful and spectacular model will bring a playful touch to your winter look. They can also be a great hand-knitted gift.
The mittens are knitted in a circle from bottom to top. Thumbs are shaped via a side gore construction for a snug, anatomical fit. When you increase to the full number of thumb stitches, you will place this section of waste yarn, returning later to work the thumb separately from the rest of the hand. The mittens start with an I-cord and thus they get a clean finish.
Both mittens are the same - the same instructions and charts are used for the left and right mitten.
A great addition to Crystal Mittens can be the Crystal Cowl, which has the same geometric motifs.
