A couple of weeks ago, while working on some bralette patterns, I realized I wanted some crochet crystal stuffies. WELL, I couldn’t find what I wanted. So, I worked out a couple of stuffies, and they DID NOT turn out how I wanted. They were too fluffy. SO, I put that to the side and thought back to when I loved making freehand appliques. So I googled ‘crystal shard crochet applique’ and found images of crystals. sigh That is when I decided to just freehand some crystals for what I needed. I thought, dang these are cute and cartoonish, and I think stacking them on top of each other to make clusters will look cute. I was right. I decided to make some simple instructions for three types. A short crystal point, a longer shard, and then a double point. I plan on making more styles, but I have two more patterns to finish the write ups on.
This pattern uses surface crochet for the outlines and such, but you can embroider or puffy paint or whatever you want to do to enhance the crystaline shape of your version. They are a great stash buster! IF you have any questions or made a bunch and want to show them off, message me :) Enjoy!!
@tarpancaravan on instagram- show me your work!
I can’t wait to see all the cool ways these are used!
