Cthulhu Beard Hat
You could try adding more detail work to make it more Cthulhu-y. My friend suggested horns and I thought maybe black detailing around the eyes.
Suggestions:
I’ve been reading the complaints about the pattern and the best I can figure is that the Bernat Berella is on the heavier side of worsted so perhaps most traditional worsted weight yarn will not work. I would suggest a yarn that calls for an I or a J hook and using an I or a J hook. I’m so sorry for everyone who’s had trouble with the pattern. I crochet pretty tightly so my best guess is that it’s a problem with the yarn weight.
UPDATE:
So as it turns out, I’ve learned that I crochet on the looser side. I would suggest using a bigger hook or bigger yarn (or both) to make this pattern workable for anyone who crochets tight or more in the middle (neither loose nor tight) side…I’m sorry for any problems this has caused anyone in trying to make this pattern work.
