Cthulhu Dice Bag / Amigurumi
This is a written pattern for a Cthulhu Dice Drawstring Bag with an Amigurumi option. The finished drawstring bag perfectly fits the game Cthulhu Dice, or similar very small game, or a set of gaming dice, jewellery or any other small items. The dice bag comes with a drawstring to close and two small covers to sew onto the stems of the safety eyes to avoid them scratching any items placed inside the bag.
It is written with US terminology and accompanied with more than 60 full colour photographs.
The pattern can be worked with DK or Worsted weight yarns with either a 4mm oder a 4.5mm hook.
It is worked in the round in one piece with no sewing-together of pieces necessary.
The difficulty level for this pattern is advanced/amigurumi experience needed, only basic stitches are used but as it is worked in one piece, the techniques can be a bit fiddly at times and experience is needed. Accompanying photos do aid with the more complicated parts.
Materials needed:
- approximately 70g or 100 yards of medium 4 (worsted weight) or DK size yarn (thinner yarn will have larger gaps between stitches but still hold dice perfectly)
- 4.5mm/US7 or 4mm/G/US6 crochet hook
- 2 x 12mm safety eyes with end caps
- stitch markers (or paper clips)
- yarn/tapestry needle
- scissors
- polyfil stuffing material (for amigurumi version only)
