Cubchoo (Pokemon)
Achoo! It’s been very cold here recently and the sniffles have been going around, so what better pattern could I bring you than Cubchoo?! He is fairly small and is therefore super fast and easy to make, so grab your yarn and needles and get crafting!
Materials
To make Cubchoo you will need:
– A 2.5mm crochet hook
– White, and light blue yarn; ideally you also have a slightly darker/more purple yarn for the nose (I did not, so I felted this instead)
– A tapestry needle and scissors
– Stuffing
– Black thread for the eyes
– Felting supplies and wool in black for the nose and paw beans (and for the nose, if you’re having the same yarn-issue as me; all of this is optional and could be embroidered instead)
– A stitch marker to help you keep track of the start of the round
Please note that you can make Cubchoo using any size crochet hook and yarn weight for a smaller or bigger result. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm crochet hook, Cubchoo should be about 12cm tall.

The pattern is written using US crochet terms in continuous spirals. You will need to know the following kinds of stitches to make him:

– Chaining
– Single crochet (sc)
– Decrease (dec); preferably using the invisible decrease method
– Increase (inc)
– Double crochet (dc)
– Slip stitch (sl)
– Crocheting in back loops only (BLO)
