Cubes & Hues is a cowl design constructed from two brioche stitches. Worked in the round, the name comes from the checkered pattern of the brioche knit and purl stitches and gradient colors of Echoes yarn.

Dimensions: 28.8’’ / 73 cm circumference x 14.2’’ / 36 cm length

Needles: US 4 / 3.50 mm and 24’’ / 60 cm long circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 17 sts x 48 rnds in Checkered Brioche motif = 4’’ / 10 cm square, blocked

The cowl starts with the Italian cast on method, a set-up for tubular rib, then alternates brioche rib with a checkered pattern. It’s finished with rib and Italian bind off method, mirrorring the cast on.
