What’s this: This is my Cubic shawl, worked in Tunisian crochet and created in collaboration with Artfil.

Why should I make this: It may look involved, but Cubic is very straightforward. There is no seaming: each shape flows from the previous one.

When will this get the most use: Throughout the year, as a shawl or as an oversized scarf.

Who is it for: This is for all lovers of yarn and colour.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate - you’ll need to know or be eager to learn Tunisian crochet stitches. You will need 500g of DK weight yarn (I used Chalet Yarn by Artfil) and a 4.5 mm interchangeable Tunisian crochet hook with cables. Other notions: a yarn needle and some stitch markers.

Pourquoi je l’aime tant ? Il peut avoir l’air intimidant, mais il ne demande aucun assemblage. Chaque forme mène à la suivante facilement.

Quand sera-t-il utile ? Tout au long de l’année, comme châle ou comme foulard.

À qui s’adresse ce modèle ? Il est pour tous les amoureux de laine et couleur.

Je commence où ? Modèle Intermédiaire – vous devez être confortable avec (ou avoir envie d’apprendre) le crochet tunisien. Vous aurez besoin de 500 g de laine de poids « DK » (j’ai utilisé la Chalet de Artfil) et d’un crochet tunisien interchangeable 4,5 mm avec câbles. Vous aurez aussi besoin d’une aiguille à laine et de marque-points.
