Cuddly Caterpillar
Designed with the novice in mind, but that doesn’t mean they’re dull! The truth about knitting is that if you can knit and purl, you can make just about anything. These patterns, designed by Lucinda Ganderton (also included jaunty juggle balls and a teddy sweater), will give you practise at both.
The caterpillar is a jolly, cuddly fellow, sure to charm babies through to young children!
A sampler of stitch patterns in knit and purl, including garter stitch, stocking stitch, basketweave stitch, moss stitch and rib.
Also needed: polyester toy wadding, tapestry needle, and buttons for eyes & nose (beware buttons for babies though!)
