Cuff to Cuff Cable Sweater 412
Hand Knitting Pattern: Pullover sweater
Yarn weight: Bulky (7 wpi)
Suggested yarn: HPKY Hand Painted Knitting Yarns Venice
Worked sideways from sleeve cuff to sleeve cuff, with a slit forming the boat neck, this couldn’t be simpler. But how striking! This BIG bold cable from wrist to wrist really highlights your shoulders, collarbones, neck and face! The skills required are very basic! This is suitable for a near beginner. Maybe your first go at cables? Or maybe your first sweater.
The only sewing is under the arms and sides - and it’s against the purl stitches, so even if you are not skilled at sewing, it won’t show. The waistband has picked up stitches and is worked in the round downward, so if you need it a bit longer, no problem, as long as you have a little more yarn.
The only thing to note: the sleeves cannot be lengthened or shortened easily, unless you want to re-calculate the pattern. Why? to keep everything symmetrical (start with a cable twist, end with a cable twist, and a cable twist at center neck).
Rated: easy / experienced beginner
Skills required: knit/purl, inc/dec, cable, count rows, pick up sts
Sizes available: S (M, L, XL, 2X, 3X)
