Cularo is the old name for Grenoble in France. This town is situated in a valley with looks like an Y, surrounded by 3 mountain chains and the cable pattern makes me think of this valley where we live. The straight cable pattern reminds me the traces of bikes in the snow and the twisted rib stitch looks a bit like all the trees you can see on the mountains.

The cowl pattern is written in 2 sizes, one for child size and one for adult sizes. You can knit this cowl longer if you like it. If you prefer an lofty cowl, knit it in a thinner yarn, like a thick and soft DK weight yarn, and cast on more stitches. This pattern is knitted dense with an aran weight yarn to have a firm cloth.

You can adapt the width of the cowl by knitting less or more stitches in the twisted ribbing stitch section.
