This pattern uses American Terminology.
Pattern Description: This cup cover is ideal for keeping out dust and all those pesky little flies and bugs, keeping your cup safe to drink from.
Pattern Difficulty: Beginner/Intermediate.
Rainbow coaster size: 4 X4 inches.
Gauge: 16sc=4inches.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sc=single crochet
hdc=half double crochet
blo=back loops only
sl st=slip stitch
Rnd=round
f/o=fasten off
sts (s)=stitch(es)
Required Materials: I used Special by stylecraft-double knit yarn, 100% premium acrylic. (322 yards, 295 metres).
50g skein grey
50g skein brown
4.5/size 7 crochet hook
Bead 2.5 cm (colour, size, and style are your choice).
Yarn Needle, Stitch Marker, Scissors, Rustproof pins.
Pattern notes:
• You can use any 2 colour yarns of your choice.
• You may need to crochet more Rnds, or less Rnds depending on the size cup you are making your cup cover for, taking this into consideration you may need more or less yarn.
• The top of the cup cover is made in a continuous spiral, NO JOINING, you will place a stitch marker in the last st of each round.
• The outside part of the cup cover is made of sc, ch1, turn at the end of each row.
• The pattern uses 2 strands of yarn.
• You will need to block your work.
• You can make 4-6 cup covers with the above amount of yarn for this pattern.
• At the end of making your cup covers weave in all your ends.
• Make sure when you are using your cup covers you wash them on a regular basis.
• The numbers in the () at the end of each Rnd/ROW indicate the amount of sts you should have.
