I made these back in 2014 and they sold out very quickly at craft fairs. Have tweaked the pattern since then omitting the wooden bead and adding an additional strand for the drawstring closure. Have finally decided to write out the pattern following several requests.

Great stash buster. Sturdy base will stand on its own.

Finished measurements: Toddler 4.5” diameter x 6” high
Girl 6” diameter x 7.5” high

Materials:

Plastic canvas circle used in the base. 4” (toddler) 6” (girl)

Mini pony beads 4 X 7 mm or Pony Beads 6 x 9 mm (Mini pony beads used in models shown) I found the mini pony beads at Hobby Lobby

Worsted weight yarn in acrylic or cotton
1-2 ounces for each bag in red
3.5 ounces for icing and cord to make both sizes
2.65 ounces for base and sides to make both sizes

Grand daughter tested and approved. My 41/2 year old gd claimed the toddler size bag as hers when I had finished it. It did not matter that she already had one from when she was 2. Her response to me “But Memere, I need it”
