Curiouser and Curiouser is the third pattern for my upcoming book: Through the Knitting Glass, Patterns Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland!

This shawl is knit starting from one point, becoming larger and larger until there are just over 200 stitches. The top length has a work as you go i cord edge, followed by panels of stockinette and mesh. The chevron lace zig zag border is created along side the other details, with some short row shaping to finish up the final side of the asymmetrical triangle. While it may appear quite simple, and it is, there are also some really unique construction techniques that are exciting and fun to work on!

This is a great pattern for knitters who are interested in Shetland lace, but find it a bit daunting or overwhelming. I have combined written instructions with effortless charts to simplify the process for an enjoyable and meditative make. If you can K, P, SSK, YO, and K2TOG, you can make this shawl.
