Curling Rocks!
I designed this Christmas tree ornament as a gift for my parents, who are both avid curlers, and who instilled a love for the game in my brother and me. I rarely curl anymore, but I have great memories of the four of us curling as a team when my brother and I were kids.
These ornaments are so small that very little yarn is needed, so you can likely use bits of stash if you have the right colours. Finished object is approximately 1.25” (3 cm) tall and 2.25” (6 cm) in diameter.
The rock is worked seamlessly in the round, with the handle worked separately as a 5-stitch i-cord and sewn on.
Additional materials: fiberfill, pipe cleaner or wire, sturdy cardboard.
