This cushion came from many hours of fun spent creating knitted swatches based on 1970s fabrics and wallpapers.

This pattern is a great introduction to colour work - using just 2 colours in a row.

The pattern uses only garter stitch (knitting every row) for the borders and stocking stitch (knit one row, purl the next,) for the colour work.

Finished Size: To fit a 50 cm x 30 cm cushion pad.

Yarn: 4 ply Yarn. We used 4 x 50g balls of Knitpicks Palette - one ball each of Brindle Heather (A), Cornmeal (B), Orange (C) and Hazelnut (D).

Extras: A piece of fabric to back the cushion measuring 53 cm x 36 cm.

A 40 cm zip.
