#sizeinclusive

Introducing Currents, a pullover that captures the essence of artistry and craftsmanship, blending the rich textures of two remarkable yarns. Designed in collaboration with Mitchell Wool Co. and Spincycle Yarns, this circular yoke sweater is designed to be a go-to piece in your wardrobe, with a fit that’s as effortless as the playful stripes that adorn it. Knit from the top down, the random color-pooling of Spincycle’s handspun-looking yarn creates a unique, one-of-a-kind effect in every sweater. You get to decide where the pops of color appear, making each Currents sweater truly your own.

At the heart of Currents is Mitchell Wool Co.’s luxurious Suri Alpaca yarn. This family-run farm in Michigan is dedicated to sustainable, ethical American fiber production, dyeing their yarns using plants grown on their land. The yarn not only tells a story of American pastures and heritage, but also reflects a deep commitment to the environment.

Meanwhile, Spincycle Yarns brings a handspun magic to the sweater with their signature slow-transitioning colorways. Spun from American wool and dyed in small batches, their yarns add a distinctive charm and unexpected shifts in hue. Each skein tells its own story, evolving as you knit, making Currents not just a sweater, but an experience in discovery and creativity.

A little about the construction
This circular yoke pullover is knit from the top down incorporating fun additions of handspun yarn to create random color pooling stripes throughout the garment. Currents overall construction is a bit relaxed with the 4-8” / 10-20 cm positive ease in your recommended fit and relaxed sleeves ending at that fun bracelet length.

Pattern instructions include guidance to customize your fit at your bicep/upper arm and optional bust darts. And there are notes throughout to guide you in customizing other length and fit adjustments.
