The warm and comfortable Currents Shawl aims to solve a common shawl problem: fatigue. Since the shawl is knitted starting from the wide end, the rows grow shorter and more manageable as you work. Not only that, but the varied textures make this engaging all the way through!

NOTES

  • A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.

  • When you work Dec Chart 1 the first time, there will be enough stitches to work the pattern repeat 19 times. When you first repeat Rows 3–22 of the chart, there will only be enough stitches to work the pattern repeat 18 times. As the decreases continue, work one fewer repeat every time you begin the chart again at Row 3.

  • The Garter Spine pattern provided in the Stitch Guide is for swatching purposes. The section of the shawl worked in this pattern is shown in Dec Chart 3. As with Dec Chart 1, work one fewer red outlined pattern repeat each time and begin the chart again at Row 1.
