A simple women’s cardigan with a boxy fit is worked from the bottom hem up in one piece. It features afterthought pockets, and a rounded crew neckline. The body of the sweater is worked in color-blocked stockinette and narrow stripes. The sweater body is knit back and forth from the bottom hem upward. The sleeves are knit in the round from the cuffs to the underarms, and then joined to the body, which is then shaped with raglan sleeves up to the neckline. The neckband and front button bands are knit on after the sweater body is completed.

Sizes available are: 32 ½ (34 ½, 36 ½, 38 ½, 42 ½, 46 ½, 48 ½, 52 ½)” /82.5 (87.5, 92.5, 98, 108, 118, 123, 133.5 cm) bust circumference after blocking, buttoned. Sample size shown is 36 ½” (92.5 cm), worn with approximately 2”/5 cm of positive ease.

If you wish to substitute yarn, the Freya DK used in the sample works up at a light DK/sportweight gauge.

Suggested skills: Knit/purl in the round and back and forth, basic decreases.
