MATERIALS:

Expression Fiber Arts Sugar Fluff Fingering yarn

Shown in colors: A) Linden Lace, B) Bunny Cake, and C) Glenwood.

All sizes use one skein of each color.

Size 1: Approximately 190 yds/174 m of each color for 570 yds (521 m) total
Size 2: Approximately 265 yds/242 m of each color for 795 yds (727 m) total
Size 3: Approximately 340 yds/311 m of each color for 1020 yds (933 m) total

Be sure to order all you need for your project because once the Limited Edition Sugar Fluff Fingering colors are gone, they are gone!

If those colors aren’t available, any from this category will work.

NEEDLE:

US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

SKILL LEVEL:

Intermediate - This pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include knitting two stitches together, picking up stitches, ribbing, seaming, and single crocheting an edge.

Notes From the Designer:

I love to dance and have danced for years. One of my dances of choice is ballet. When you finish your dance, you curtsy. To me, the curtsy is a very respectful gesture and represents the presentation and the end of something that has been beautiful and flowing. Speaking of flowing, that is what this shrug does. It is made with Sugar Fluff Fingering yarn, which means it is soft and feels silky and lustrous as it drapes from its frame, thus a curtsy.

Curtsy was designed with 3/4 length sleeves. Layer this on top of your shirts and blouses for some warmth. You can wear it and show off your bracelets! Curtsy is knit with three colors that graduate into each other. A collar was added to finish off this design. Enjoy!

• The edges of the sleeves will curl or roll because of the Stockinette stitch. That is part of the flow and gives the shrug a soft look. If the curl bothers you, use the instructions in the Finishing Section to add an edging to the sleeves in the same way as you’re instructed to do for the bottom edge of the shrug.
• This shrug is very easy to wear over tees and tops, and when made with the recommended yarn, Curtsy is a very light shrug that will keep you warm in restaurants and offices..
• The shrug is knitted in six sections. Three of these sections are solid colors, and the other three sections use two alternating colors that transition to the next solid color section.
