This pattern is available from etsy.com for C$3.00.

Note: this listing is a “Knit in the Round” pattern to be knit using double pointed needles.

This knitting pattern is for the checked skirt shown with instructions for ALL of Barbie’s body types. The existing Body sizes are: Vintage, Silkstone, Athletic, Made-to-Move, and Classic. I will refer to all of the existing styles from now on as “Classic”. That’s because they vary only slightly, and one set of instructions will work for all “Classic” body styles. The new body styles recently added were, Petite, Tall, and Curvy.

This pattern Includes instructions for four different sizes in the following order: (Petite) (Classic) (Tall) (Curvy). This master pattern takes into account the “negative” ease required for each class of body type, body shape, waist and knee placement, so the fit is excellent when the gauge is adhered to (9 stitches and 13 rows per inch in stockinette).

It requires light fingering weight yarn or sock yarn and a set of US 1 (2.50mm) double pointed needles. For yarn, I used: Knit Picks Comfy and Jawoll yarn.

It knits up quickly in “the round” so there’s no swatching, seaming or sewing. Knit it once, if it could be slightly bigger or smaller, knit it a second time using smaller or larger needles.

The finished skirt slide on easily from the legs up.

This is a row by row pattern, no charts.
