Cushion Pillow Cover Aztec Stripe
I have designed this easy striped crochet cushion cover pattern with basic crochet stitches using US terminology of chains, single crochet and the puff stitch. It is not complicated but still has an overall affect of looking fabulous. For UK and Australian crocheters there is a stitch conversion for you. I have also included a handy written and visual tutorial on the puff stitch and how to change colours throughout the pattern.
All my patterns are written in my own unique style giving you step by step instructions with large images at each stage so you can track your progress visually as well. This pattern is 16 pages in length.
I have finished this cushion cover in a 12 ply cotton with a stitch tension of 13 stitches x 16 rows (10 x 10 cm sq). Any 10 or 12 ply or chunky cotton or cotton blend yarn would work well for this project.
The cushion is worked in three (3) separate sections consisting of a front section and two (2) back section of equal sizing, one (1) with buttonholes added and one (1) plain where you add the buttons. Once you have the front section and 2 back sections completed, you join the cushion together in one continuous single crochet row around all 4 sides.
