Cusp of Spring

Spring is my favorite season. As soon as the days start getting longer, I start longing for the welcoming, warming rays of sunshine to inspire long dormant buds to bloom. By mid-February, we’re definitely on the cusp of spring and my spirits lift when I see the buds of the early blooming witch hazel and viburnum start opening. As the temperature warms, I swap my turtleneck and warm winter scarf for this lighter weight cowl, just enough to keep the early morning chill off my neck and add a much needed splash of color to brighten my day, like the flowers waiting to burst into bloom.
